Nugget Three: Power Plant cinema

Think: Killer Surround. In the words of the great Will Ferrell in “Blades of Glory”, Power Plant would say “I AM CINEMA.”

Nugget Two: To Kill A Mockingbird

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on February 26, 2008 9:55 pm

For the Walter Cunninghams amongst the lot of you, ‘To Kill A Mockingbird” (TKAM) by Harper Lee (gal pal of Truman Capote) is the much much classier novel version of “The Professional” or “Batman Year One” by Frank Miller or profanely “Bagets” even, all coming of age tales that highlight the journey of the youngling/ froshie/ newbie into the “supposed” wisdom of mature adults (which can be seriously contested). 100 nuggets

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on February 25, 2008 9:24 am

Without sounding too chirpy like Julie Andrews twirling in the meadow or optimistic in a Nathan Lane Bird Cage sort of way, there are many things in the world worth naming and even celebrating; and since this IS the centennial celebration of my much lauded and ever criticized Diploma Mill of a university- ever imitated but never duplicated (Go Maroons! Whatever they are, these reviews are short bitefuls of a tribute, but a tribute nevertheless to unforgettable indelible greatness that move us and shake us in ways we may not even know: Tasty nuggets of memory, and zest lasts a very long time. Like MSG.

To their 24 hours of fame, cheers.

Nugget One: the NOKIA N82

The Nokia N82 is my king of the hill.

“Love perseveres. It’s men who change”

“By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept”

Valentine’s day flashed by like a whizzing Cupid about to burst rushing to get to the toilet in time. Since my better half (she is a better person than me) is out of the country, I became a mere spectator to the game called Valentine’s.
