MAMMA MIA

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on September 2, 2008 11:26 am

My cousin Ana aka HBM (that’s Hot Big Mamah to you) is leaving town to build her life and make it out on her own, and I’ve never seen her more anxious and more eager to jumpstart her new domestic role as mother to uber baby Jacob, wife to baking god Lloyd, and hot new ambassador of the ultra-cool Quaker community of Pennsylvania (Has anyone seen “The Village”?)

Nugget Twelve: ON-LINE AUCTIONS

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on August 6, 2008 1:20 pm

This February 2005 AMP Girls Uno magazine I bought at 150 pesos and sold for 800 pesos.

Closet bursting with clothes?

Too old for your childhood toys? Comic books and magazines gathering dust?

Too much stuff for your own good?

Nugget Eleven: NUTELLA

NUTELLA is a hazelnut spread (read: NOT peanut butter) worthy enough of the Ludy’s tasty peanut butter legend of yore. If anything to describe this late but wondrous discovery of mine, it is MAX BRENNER in a jar.

It’s THAT good.

Nugget Ten: SAMSUNG D880 DUOS

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on August 1, 2008 10:26 am

(Before you read any further, this article is a user review from a layman user perspective; so there are no technical specification references or techie name/term dropping. You may google many other sites for tech specs. Thanks to GSM Arena for some of the pix.)

In today’s times when having two mobile phones is insanely affordable (more so for sim cards as they go cheaper by the month), the Samsung D880 Duos caters to satisfy that part of the market that keeps their professional and personal sim lives distinctly separate but without the clunky extra burden or cost of buying another phone for that other sim, (unless of course for other nefarious illicit matters).

Nugget Nine: M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on July 25, 2008 12:10 pm

Do you see dead people? Or ladies in the water? Or hydrophobic aliens in the bushes? Or those who we do not speak of in the woods?

Well neither does M. Night Shyamalan but he does tell the most intriguingly twisted stories about them.

THE LAST LAUGH

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on July 23, 2008 9:09 am

For those of you who have not joined the throngs of comic book fans, grimacing parents of excited children, and curious onlookers who have seen the hit freak show “The Dark Knight” starring Christian Bale as Batman and the late (now) great Heath Ledger as the Joker you must be crazy waiting THIS long not watching a film THIS good.

I am writing this article one week late of the actual event and around four years early for the actual experience.

Nugget Eight: ELORDE BOXING

Posted under Atticus Finch (Author), Real Life Fiction by Atticus Finch on May 4, 2008 6:17 pm

Every 7PM for three times a week, my muscles sing like Barry Manilow where “Two old friends meet again..” in almost screeching agony as I rediscover muscles I never thought I had in areas existed or I believed were long lost to me.

For those of us seeking to trim down from fatter to just plain fat, or wanting to build a more buff set of buns or just wanting a more sensible healthy lifestyle that doesn’t involve self-starvation, boxing is the hip and fun alternative to all those painful weights and vibrating belts and tasteless salads.

Nugget Seven: Centrale Cafe and Bar

One of the most underrated YET indispensable new skills (especially if you want to be a ladies’ man) you learn beyond kindergarten is you learn how to spot great eating date spots because God forbid, you don’t want the same old Jollibee food day in and day out. If not to widen your cultural or gastronomical horizons, Jollibee or Binalot is certainly no way to impress your date.
